Let’s be honest—life gets messy.
Sometimes it’s the big things—like watching someone you love lose their strength day by day. Other times, it’s the little things that push you over the edge—the internet cuts out, the TV won’t work, and your to-do list feels like a mountain with no summit.
If you’ve ever felt like you’re barely keeping your head above water, you’re not alone. Between caregiving, co-parenting, and the chaos of being a sports mom, I’ve been there. And I’ve learned one important truth: we’re not meant to do this on our own.
Your Anchor in the Storm
You may not be a morning person (I’m not naturally either), but finding an intentional moment of peace before the day begins can change everything.
For me, it’s early mornings with the Lord—4:00 a.m., Matcha Tea 💚 in hand (Affiliate link – I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.), Bible open, and heart ready. I pray for my family, my friends, my day, and anyone who’s hurting.
You don’t have to wake up before sunrise, but you do need to carve out a space for God to speak before the world starts shouting. Even a 10-minute prayer in the car before walking into work can reframe your day.
When Life Feels Like Too Much
My dad has ALS, and it’s one of the hardest things our family has ever faced. I won’t sugarcoat it—there are days I feel weary. But in those valleys, God’s presence has been more real to me than ever.
If you’re facing your own battle, I want to share three verses that carry me when I feel weak:
Psalm 23:4 – “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me.”
Romans 15:13 – “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing…”
Romans 5:3-5 – “Suffering produces endurance… endurance produces character… character produces hope.”
These aren’t just verses to read once—they’re promises you can stand on.
5 Practical Ways to Stay Grounded
If life feels overwhelming right now, here are five things you can try today:
- Start with Prayer – Even five minutes of talking with God can calm anxious thoughts.
- Get Outside – A walk around the block or a sit in the sunshine can reset your mind.
- Talk It Out – Find someone who listens well and speaks truth into your life.
- Fill Your Ears with Hope – Worship music, podcasts, or Scripture audio can shift your perspective.
- Pray in the Moment – Whisper a quick prayer when you feel stressed—God hears the small prayers, too.
If You’re in the Middle of the Storm
Maybe today you’re juggling bills, caregiving, health struggles, or relationship tension. I can’t take away your storm, but I can remind you—you don’t have to weather it alone.
Bring it all to God. He sees you. He loves you. He will give you the strength for your next step.
You can face whatever comes—not because you’re superhuman, but because He’s got you.
I welcome you to write a prayer request in the comments section below. I will pray for you.
